About

I was born in Plymouth, raised near Glasgow, and have lived in and around Edinburgh for the last 16 years and firmly call it my home. I work as a Civil Servant by day but I try and find as much time as possible for art.

Although I have no formal art training I do have a degree in Mechanical Engineering so there's always been a strong technical element to my drawings. I turned to painting as a way to relax and started my journey in 2018 - inspired by line and wash artists and the urban sketching 'movement'. Originally I loved sketching and drawing just urban environments but I have subsequently branched out into more bucolic landscapes and seascapes.
